Flying the American Flag

1. Display from sunrise to sunset on stationary flagpoles; may be displayed twenty-four hours a day if illuminated during darkness
2. Only hoist briskly and lower ceremoniously.
3. Do not display during inclement weather or in extreme wind.
4. Do not display with union down, unless as signal of distress or extreme danger.
5. Do not allow flag to touch ground, floor or water.
6. Do not use if worn, torn or tattered. When no longer fit for display, destroy in a dignified way, preferably by burning
